The Records of the Soil Sciences Crop Lab contains data sheets from soil and well samples in areas of eastern and northern Colorado. Lester Hendren (L.H.) Stimmel (1904-1972) was a professor of English at Colorado A & M, later renamed Colorado State University, from 1928 until his retirement in 1968. He specialized in nineteenth century American literature and was known for his high standards for usage and grammar in composition. Stimmel's papers consist of personal writings, including poetry and plays. Teaching materials are also included in the collection.
