History

In May 1982, Colorado State University (CSU), under the direction of Colorado State University President Ralph E. Christoffersen, initiated a comprehensive review of its state funded academic, support, and administrative programs. This was undertaken as a response to the recognition that inflation and other economic struggles would result in a decrease in funding, and existing academic programs and support services could not be sustained at an acceptable level of quality. The CSU Program Review and Redirection (RRD), established a review committee to implement the study and plan for restructuring. Reports on programs and operations were submitted by departments and program administrators to the committee but after the resignation of Christoffersen in 1983, the RRD came to a halt.

Abstract

The Records of Review and Redirection consists of material pertaining to a review of Colorado State University's state funded academic, support, and administrative programs initiated by President Ralph E. Christofferson during his tenure and ceased following his resignation. The collection consists of program reviews and documents at the end of Adrian R. Chamberlain's presidency and during Christofferson's term.
