Reports of the Boyle Engineering Corporation
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of documents dated 1964 to 2007, with the bulk falling from 1980 to 1995. The majority of the material is bound reports by the Boyle Engineering Corporation relating to both private and governmental water studies and projects. Most of the reports contain projections, designs, feasibility models, and development plans in relation to a given city, state, or country. There are nine folders with reports dedicated to water projects in Egypt and Jordan. The rest of the reports are related to specific states, the majority being California and Colorado. There are only a few reports not done by Boyle Engineering. Most contain maps either in the report, or folded up in the back. Three reports contain floppy disks.

History
The Boyle Engineering Corporation, created in the early 1940s, specialized in drinking water, wastewater treatment, water-resource management, and storm water. In February 2008, Boyle Engineering was bought out by AECOM, a global provider of professional technical and management support services in the markets of transportation, facilities, environmental, and energy. Prior to the buyout, Boyle Engineering was headquartered in Newport Beach, California, with a branch in Lakewood, Colorado, and employed more than 600 people.

Abstract
The Boyle Engineering Corporation has been a leader in the delivery of water and wastewater services since the early 1940s. In February 2008, Boyle Engineering was bought out by AECOM. The collection mainly contains material created by Boyle Engineering, such as reports for both private and governmental projects, focusing on water supply, wastewater, and flood control.

Arrangement of the material is alphabetical by categories of state, country, or miscellaneous, and chronologically within each category.

Acquisition
The Reports of the Boyle Engineering Corporation were acquired by the Water Resources Archive at Colorado State University in July 2010.
Processing
Processing was completed in January 2012. Materials were rehoused in acid-free boxes and folders. The majority of the materials were left in their original bound state. Documents in three-ring binders were removed from the binders. Duplicates beyond two copies and reports not related to Boyle Engineering were removed from the collection. Maps within reports were left in their original position. Floppy disks were left in their protective sleeves inside the reports and noted in the inventory.
