The Visual Materials of Colorado State University Events and Donor Engagement consists of images dated 1994 to 2007, with the bulk falling from 1994 to 1996 and 2005 to 2007. This collection contains photographs, film negatives, and CDs documenting 1870 recognition dinners, homecoming parades, Monfort Lectures, a CSU Creative Services (CCS) luncheon, Fashion Group International, and miscellaneous events. Materials from the President's Fall Address and University Picnic, Ram Good Time Auction, and the President's Community Lecture are not included in this collection.

History
CSU Events and Donor Engagement (CSU Events) is a Colorado State University division that organizes events on behalf of the Office of the President, University Advancement, and other university leadership. The department is dedicated to providing "consistent excellence" to high-visibility functions that include university-wide events, receptions, ceremonies, and galas.
CSU Events contributes mainly to the President's Fall Address and University Picnic, Homecoming and Family Weekend, the 1870 Recognition Dinner, Ram Good Time Auction, and the President's Community Lecture. These annual events play large roles in "generating goodwill" and establishing loyal relations with CSU alumni and donors. The division is also responsible for organizing the series of Monfort Lectures, in which prominent guest speakers address the campus and Fort Collins community. Notable guests have included Mikhail Gorbachev, Jane Goodall, Madeleine Albright, and Condoleezza Rice. CSU Events possesses over 25 years of experience.

Acquisition
The Visual Materials of Colorado State University Events and Donor Engagement was transferred to CSU Archives and Special Collections in January 2019 by Marketa Jancar.
Processing
Processing was completed in May 2019. Materials were retained as received. Original titles and folders were both kept from the original collection. Papers and photographs from the homecoming parades were moved from letter-sized manila folders into acid-free legal folders.
