Scope and Contents From the Series: Charles Slater (1917-2007) was an amateur lepidopterist who collaborated with Paul Opler. His collection of butterfly specimens resides at the C.P. Gillette Museum of Arthropod Diversity at CSU. Slater served as a volunteer, collaborating with museum staff on alpine insect studies and preparation of research and display material.
