This series documents Pitts' work specific to the Colorado River and its four endangered fish species: the Colorado pikeminnow (formerly called Colorado squawfish), razorback sucker, humpback chub, and bonytail. Negotiations in which Pitts participated led to the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin, established in 1988.
