Colorado Water Congress Colorado River Project, 1975-2010 and undated

 Series
Identifier: Series 2

Scope and Contents

This series documents Pitts' work specific to the Colorado River and its four endangered fish species: the Colorado pikeminnow (formerly called Colorado squawfish), razorback sucker, humpback chub, and bonytail. Negotiations in which Pitts participated led to the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin, established in 1988. Files retain the order and numbering created by Pitts, which groups a mix of committees, issues, and activities under an 1802 category with further subcategorization. Materials include correspondence, agendas and meeting minutes, reports, articles, testimony, presentations, and financial information. See Series 1 for Executive Committee files and Series 6 for correspondence files.
