History

Expansion of the Colorado State University campus during the 1950s and early 1960s created many buildings underused during the summer months when classes were not in session. The Office of Conference Services was established during the 1960s to assist in planning conferences on-campus, to better utilize the space available and create a new revenue generating service for the university. Now Conference and Event Services, the office provides coordination and registration services for meetings and events both on and off the CSU campus.

The Office of Conference Services (now Conference and Event Services) at Colorado State University provides coordination and registration services for meetings and events both on- and off-campus. The collection contains newspaper clippings and a scrapbook.

Acquisition

The Records of the Office of Conference Services was donated by Hap Hazard in May 2014.

Processing

Processing was completed in October 2015. Most of the collection was originally housed on scrapbook pages in a 3-ring binder. Pages were removed from the binder and any loose items were removed from the scrapbook pages. All materials were refoldered and placed in acid-free boxes.
