History

The Committee on Teaching and Learning is a standing committee of Colorado State University's Faculty Council. The committee is charged with recommending policies, practices, and standards for maintaining and improving the quality of teaching and learning; policies related to undergraduate advising; policies related to academic records and registration and undergraduate admissions; and policies related to standards of student behavior, academic honesty, co-curricular activities and other aspects of campus life. it also oversees the selection of the University Distinguished Teaching Scholars. The committee is also responsible for policies related to the activities of The Institute for Learning and Teaching, Academic Computing and Networking Services, student outcomes assessment, and other offices and programs that directly support instruction and student development. Membership consists of one faculty member from each college and the Libraries, one graduate student, one undergraduate student, the Provost (ex officio), the Vice President for Student Affairs (ex officio), and the Director of The Institute for Learning and Teaching (ex officio).
