Papers of Donald Wayne Viney

Donald Wayne Viney was born on February 13, 1953, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He earned his B.A. in philosophy from Colorado State University (1977), and his M.A. (1979) and Ph.D. (1982) in philosophy from the University of Oklahoma. He is a professor of philosophy and religion at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas, since 1984. His areas of emphasis are on the philosophy of religion, philosophy and Charles Hartshorne, and logic and critical thinking. Viney has published numerous books and articles, and served on the editorial board of Process Studies, American Journal for Theology and Philosophy, and The Midwest Quarterly. He is a member of the American Philosophical Association (APA), the American Academy of Religion (AAR), and the Highlands Institute for American Religious and Philosophical Thought (HIARPT). Viney and his wife Rebecca have two daughters, Jenny and Aislinn.
