Arrangement
Original order of the materials in the collection has been maintained, being primarily chronological, with the exception of subject files which were mixed in with the reports and publications. These were removed and formed into a separate series.
The collection consists of 3 series in 9 boxes:
Series 1: Colorado Water Conservation Board meeting minutes and associated documents, 1964-1985
Series 2: Subject files, 1958-1992
Series 3: Reports and publications, 1963-1988
Acquisition
The Colorado Water Conservation Board Papers of Herbert Vandemoer was acquired by the Colorado Water Resources Research Institute in fall 1996. The Colorado State University Water Resources Archive acquired the collection in July 2001. A small amount of additional materials (accession 2003024) was donated by Herbert Vandemoer in July 2003.
Processing
Processing completed in August 2001 included removal and disposal of duplicate documents and publications beyond the second copy as well as blank notepaper. Subject files which were in boxes with the publications and reports were separated and made into a new series. Several items were placed in acid free folders and the collection was reboxed. The July 2003 accession was processed and incorporated into the collection in January 2004.
