Scope and Contents
This subseries contains papers and pleadings filed with the Division 1 water court collected for the case United States v. Colorado. Primarily, the documents in this subseries are part of the Master Pleadings File, which includes pleadings filed under the general adjudication case number W-8439-76 and any one of the four individual national forest file case numbers W-8977-77 (Pike), W-9052-77 (Roosevelt), W-9064-77 (San Isabel), and W-9065-77 (Arapaho). This subseries also contains all newspaper clippings and administrative documents that provide an overview of United States v. Colorado or describe the overall organization of the case files. With the exception of explanatory documents, Pleadings are bound in 26 volumes and are numbered chronologically. To determine folder contents, refer to the index at the beginning of this subseries entitled "Pleadings."
