Scope and Contents
Charles Slater (1917-2007) was an amateur lepidopterist who collaborated with Paul Opler. His collection of butterfly specimens resides at the C.P. Gillette Museum of Arthropod Diversity at CSU. Slater served as a volunteer, collaborating with museum staff on alpine insect studies and preparation of research and display material. The series contains Lepidoptera surveys and reports; writings, both technical and fictional; and photographs and slides of scenery and sea animals. The series retains its original order.
