Gila Project, 1996-1997

This subseries contains documents from consulting work Nordin did for George V. Sabol Consulting Engineers in Arizona and Nevada during the 1990s. Materials present are correspondence, maps, notes, reports, and legal documents related to three channel studies: Las Vegas Wash, Pima Road Channel, and Gila River downstream of Gillespie Dam. All three projects concern the mitigation of sediment and drainage problems exacerbated by urban growth in arid environments. For the Gila River project, Nordin consulted for the defendant in Tumbling-T Ranches vs. Paloma Investment Limited Partnership; the case was a result of damage caused by the Gillespie Dam failure in 1993. Materials have no particular order.
