The series contains various certificate recognitions awarded to the Word is Out Bookstore from agencies focused on feminist and LGBTQ communities, as well as some store operation policies and records. The collection also contains feminist bookstore catalogs, advertising, memorabilia, and articles concerning the Word is Out Bookstore. A DVD recording of the Word is Out Bookstore farewell party and a VHS tape of a HRC (Human Rights Campaign) awards dinner are also included.
