Semi-Annual Annual Report of the Dean of Students, 1969

 File — Box: 6, Folder: 17
Identifier: Series 2

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series consists of papers on myriad subjects. Most records of topics are scant with information for isolated years. Records include reports on teaching hours, grade distributions, the teaching-learning process, a course guide for a forest utilization class, and campus symposiums and institutes. Files regarding the honors program, the ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program, the School of Agriculture, and the Libraries are present as well. Also included is a long-range master plan for CSU from the early 1960s. One bound volume of the Dean of Students' semi-annual report is also present. A State Board of Agriculture file is restricted to only the person named. Student-related records include reports on the history of college traditions on campus, and fraternity and sorority early histories collected by I.E. Newsom, an alumnus and later interim president of Colorado A & M College (now CSU). Of particular interest is a memo conveying the disciplinary actions decided for six of the students who participated in the 1970 protest against Brigham Young University for the Mormon Church's racial policies. Other records relate to agriculture, building dedications, the CSU centennial, and faculty and community entertainment. The materials are arranged alphabetically.
