Scope and Contents
This subseries contains materials relating to Jean Sutherland’s career teaching English for the Hariri Foundation at the American University in Beirut. Documents cover Jean’s teaching and mentoring of students at the university as well as her work administering grants and stipends for some students. Jean obtained her Ph.D. in the fall of 1985. Her career in Beirut coincided with Tom’s captivity. Materials are arranged alphabetically.
