Dr. Louis "Carl" Levine (1907-2002) was on the faculty of the Colorado State University (CSU) English Department during the 1960s and early 1970s. He was a playwright whose most notable works centered around the life and accomplishments of Raoul Wallenburg. A dedicated humanitarian, Dr. Levine, along with his wife Augusta, worked with war survivors in Sweden and Germany following World War II. He also researched in the field of mental illness.
