Abstract William E. Morgan (1909-2005) served as president of Colorado Agricultural and Mechanical College/Colorado State University from 1949 to 1969. During his tenure, Morgan's farsighted and coherent concept for the growth of the institution resulted in its transformation from a small agricultural college to a state university.
