The Trinidad Project is a multipurpose Army Corps of Engineers project authorized in 1958 that includes a reservoir for flood control, irrigation, recreation, and fish and wildlife preservation on the Purgatoire River near Trinidad, Colorado. The water resources in this project are part of the Arkansas River Basin and are subject to the Arkansas River Compact.
