This subseries contains correspondence concerning NPIC's general operations, including assessments, stock sales, legal matters, and general inquiries. Some of the letters include local gossip or personal information. Beginning in about 1919 through 1978, NPIC staff appeared to keep thorough files of letters sent and received, though not all years are present. Files are arranged in chronological order. Two are restricted because of attorney-client materials.
