Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: During Johnson's 30-year career with the USGS, he published extensively on water and soil-related topics. As the head of the USGS Hydrologic Laboratory in Denver, he also wrote and co-wrote measurement standards and compiled bibliographies of contemporary water research.
