Ruth Wattles was an English and drama professor at Colorado State University from 1918 to 1958. She was released from teaching duties in 1943 through 1945 to write a history of the university. Some of the material in this series has been tentatively identified as relating to the preparation of Wattles' unpublished history, "The Mile High College: the History of Colorado A&M."
