History

The Registrar's Office at Colorado State University was officially established in 1933 when a Code of Operations was approved by the Board Executive Committee and president Charles Lory. The duties of the Registrar's Office have been exercised since the inception of the University in 1879 and include maintaining all students' official records, processing transcripts, verifying enrollment, course scheduling and registration, processing class lists, assigning classrooms, reviewing graduation applications, and issuing diplomas.

Abstract

The Registrar's Office at Colorado State University is responsible for maintaining students records, transcripts, and grade reports. The collection contains procedures and policies of the Registrar's Office, and meeting notes and minutes for the Graduate Council, Executive Committee, and Committee on Advanced Degrees.

Acquisition

The Records of the Registrar's Office was transferred by various staff of the Registrar's Office from 1986 to 2015.

Processing

Processing was completed in January 2016. Materials were rehoused in acid-free boxes and folders. Materials protected by FERPA regulations were removed.
