Abstract

The Colorado Forestry Association (CFA) was created on February 27, 1982, as the result of an idea promoted by Colorado State Forester Thomas Borden for a non-profit, private sector organization focused on forest ecology. The association advocated efforts to maintain a balance of forest preservation, harvesting, and recreational use, and had connections to the Colorado State Forest Service as well as to forestry faculty and students at Colorado State University. The collection includes meeting minutes, by-laws, conference reports, correspondence, financial documents, photographs, and publications related to forestry issues and CFA history.
