The Classified Personnel Council (CPC) at Colorado State University (CSU) was formed in 1973 and serves to represent state classified personnel at CSU by promoting, improving, and protecting their role within the University System. Its goal is to promote better communication between classified personnel and the University as a whole. The organization also publicizes contributions of state classified personnel and presents special recognition awards. The collection contains records of the CPC from its inception to recent years and includes letters, articles, floppy disks, meeting minutes and agendas, awards, and projects.

The Records of the Classified Personnel Council was received in different increments. The original donation was from Elizabeth Case in 1997. In 2015, 2016, and 2022, Stacey Baumgarn donated materials. In November 2023 material was transferred from the Records of the Vice President for University Operations that was collected by Linda Wardlow, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Adminstrative Services, 1994-2004, when she was also a member of the Classified Personnel Council.
