Biographical / Historical
McNary, an alumnus of Colorado State University (1975, 1980), worked at the United State Department of Agriculture for most of his career, specializing in Orthoptera, an order of insects that includes grasshoppers, locusts, and crickets. He later joined CSU's Gillette Museum of Arthropod Diversity as curator.
From 1983-1986 he was a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger, West Africa.
