Identifier: AOCU

Abstract

Orville C. Ufford joined the staff at the Colorado Agricultural College in 1920 as an instructor and later became the Extension Service poultry specialist. Upon retiring from the Extension Service in 1953, Ufford spent seven years assisting the Turkish government, transforming the nearly non-existent Turkey poultry trade into a modern food industry. His work was so well recognized that he was often called the father of Turkey's poultry industry. The scrapbook contains clippings and articles relating to Ufford's work.
