Scope and Contents
The Historic Traveling Diaries and Guestbooks Collection consists of documents dated 1841 to 1996, with the bulk falling from 1841 to 1891. The collection includes diaries and memoirs on travel throughout the United States and Canada. Most of the diaries focus on travels in the west and specifically the Fort Collins, Colorado area. There is also a guestbook from a local cabin that documents the people and happenings of the region.
