The Records of the Potato Administrative Committee, Area III consists of documents dated 1959-1980, with the bulk falling from 1978-1980. Abstract
The Potato Administrative Committee, Area III, was established as a result of the 1939 Colorado Marketing Act. It administers provisions of marketing orders of the U.S. and Colorado Departments of Agriculture. The Committee serves its members in the Greeley/Weld County area and represents both producers and handlers. This collection contains materials primarily from 1978-1980, reflecting committee business, potato promotion and marketing, and includes a number of photographs of potato processing.

The collection consists of one document case. Folders in the collection are arranged in alphabetical order by folder title.
Acquisition
The Records of the Potato Administrative Committee, Area III was acquired by James E. Hansen for the Colorado Agricultural Records Project in 1981 as part of the Colorado Agricultural Archive, and was transferred to the Colorado State University Libraries in February 2004.
Processing
Processing was completed in October 2007. The materials were placed in acid-free folders and reboxed. Paper clips were removed. Photographs were placed in mylar sleeves.
