History
The Colorado Cattle Feeders Association was established in 1955 to support cattlemen by gathering, analyzing, and distributing facts relative to the cattle feeding business. The Colorado Cattle Feeders Association's goals were to maintain the cattle industry on a sound economic footing through research, promotion, and education. In 1998, the Association was restructured and became the Colorado Livestock Association (CLA).

Abstract
The Colorado Cattle Feeders Association was established in 1955 to gather, analyze, and distribute facts relative to the cattle feeding business. The Colorado Cattle Feeders Association's goals were to maintain the cattle industry on a sound economic footing through research, promotion, and education. In 1998, the Association was restructured and became the Colorado Livestock Association (CLA). The collection files include committee reports, correspondence, minutes, news releases, and newsletters.
Arrangement
The collection was received in good order. Materials were grouped into series according to topic and further divided into subseries as needed.
The collection consists of nine series in four record cartons and three document cases:

Acquisition
The Records of the Colorado Cattle Feeders Association was acquired by James E. Hansen for the Colorado Agricultural Records Project in July 1981 and received by the Libraries in February 2004.

Processing
Processing of the collection was completed in November 2005. Paper clips were removed and all materials were inserted in acid-free folders and reboxed.
