Scope and Contents
The Papers of Betty P. Broadhurst consists of material dated circa 1935 to 2005, with the bulk falling from 1953 to 2004. The collection focuses on high school through college, service with the Women's Reserve of the U.S. Coast Guard, studies in Austria, work with various organizations, dissertation from Columbia University, work and travels across the world, as well as with Colorado State University. It highlights her passion for photography, travel and social work abroad to include Cuba, Nicaragua, Argentina, and India. For a more complete list, please view the Index Terms. Material includes postcards, correspondence, research, reports, certificates, awards, pamphlets, directories, yearbooks, books, newspapers, and clippings, as well as photography: negatives, slides, and prints.
