Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

During Johnson's 30-year career with the USGS, he published extensively on water and soil-related topics. As the head of the USGS Hydrologic Laboratory in Denver, he also wrote and co-wrote measurement standards and compiled bibliographies of contemporary water research. Many of the documents in this subseries are reprints excerpted from larger reports. Drafts of some larger reports are also present. Materials are ordered chronologically with the exception of unpublished biographical information--Johnson's 1994 resume and a 1995 program marking the conferment of a doctor honoris causa degree from Hacettepe University, Antalya, Turkey--located at the beginning of this subseries.
