Golden Spike National Historic Site - emails and articles, 2005-2007
Scope and Contents
This series details highlights of Margaret A. Johnston's career with the National Park Service (1974-2007). There are also some materials regarding her college career and letters from friends after her death. The collection includes a comprehensive resume, certificates, photographs, identification cards, appraisal letters, and interviews. The material was gathered by Johnston's husband, Jim McChristal, for a biography he wrote about her life. Two copies of the biography are included in the collection. Although the biography describes Johnston's time at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, C and O Canal, and Point Reyes National Seashore, the collection contains limited material regarding her work in these places. Folders are arranged alphabetically.
