USGS ground-water short course, Fort Collins, 1953, 1953

 File — Box: 14, Folder: 22
Identifier: Subseries 8.1

Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This subseries contains documentation on the College Farm drain, Spring Creek, Foothills rain gages, the Western States Water Council, and two groundwater short courses. More significant are the files from two of the researchers represented throughout this collection: W. E. Code and Robert E. Glover. The Code papers show the history of early U.S. Geological Survey studies in Colorado and how Code felt about the USGS, as well as some 1940s Experiment Station budget information. The Glover papers include a partial draft of a book with M. W. Bittinger as co-author, well test analyses, early (1950s) notes on groundwater management, and some original work on analytic solutions to pumping impact on streamflows in an alluvial valley. Materials in the subseries include correspondence, memoranda, reports, charts, and maps.
