1950 Denver -- Stapleton Airport, 1950
Scope and Contents
This subseries consists of U.S. Department of Commerce Records of Climatological Observations forms, which record hourly, daily, and monthly precipitation and temperatures as well as occasional additional meteorological information. These materials are arranged by date beginning with a partial year in 1948 and continuing until 2010. At the end of February 1995 Denver International Airport opened and the weather station moved there from the Stapleton Airport. Beginning with the year 1989, data were recorded with computer software and in 1998, as indicated on month summary sheets, data from that point forward became available online at www.ncdc.noaa.gov.
