Photographic prints, 1900-2006 and undated
Scope and Contents
The editors of the Colorado Union Farmer began illustrating their articles with portraits in 1928, and within two decades photographs had become a significant part of the newspaper. Myron Schober and Dave Carter, RMFU communication directors of the 1970s and 1980s, were also skilled photographers who provided many human interest photographs for articles published in the Union Farmer. The photographic prints series consists mostly of black-and-white prints, with color snapshots becoming more common after the 1980s. Approximately half of the photographs have identifying information; some can be identified by researching issues of the Union Farmer newspaper. This series is divided into five subseries dealing with photographic subjects and dates.
