Tom Allen (Former BIA stockman), 1968
Scope and Contents
Tyler conducted interviews with Tom Allen and his family, friends, and associates while studying for his Ph.D. at the University of New Mexico. Allen was a stockman on the Navajo Reservation from about 1930 to 1950. The interviews relate to Navajo livestock and Allen's life and activities. Files are in order of tape number. Materials are primarily transcripts with an initial folder of project planning documents and correspondence, and a final folder containing a student paper. Interview releases are not included.

Confidential and attorney-client privileged documents in Series 5 are restricted from public access for fifty years from date of creation. Until then, such documents can only be viewed by the clients involved or with written permission of the clients. The collection is stored off-site, so advance notice is recommended.
