This series consists of files (formerly in binders) of correspondence sent by Tom Pitts to the Colorado Water Congress Special Project Executive Committee, all parties involved in the Upper Colorado and South Platte efforts, and other parties. A few minor gaps exist in the record; otherwise, the files include every piece of correspondence sent out by Pitts on the Special Project. One file relates to the Interstate Task Force of the Platte River Project. A similar set concerns the San Juan River Basin Recovery Implementation Program. Within each file, the correspondence is in reverse chronological order. The files include some attachments, such as meeting minutes, reports, proposals, articles, and budgets, as well as incoming correspondence. See Series 1-4 for related materials. Two files here are restricted because of date of creation.

Restrictions on Access

Access to materials is restricted for four years from the date of creation of an item unless permission is granted by the donor in writing. All "confidential" markings have been determined to be for administrative purposes, not attorney-client protection; therefore, these materials are open for access. Also, the collection is stored off-site, so advance notice is required.
