[Draft drawings], undated
Scope and Contents
This series contains the writings of Ivan D. Wood. The bulk is articles he wrote for Western Farm Life and similar publications, primarily on irrigation topics such as land preparation, soils, pipelines, sprinklers, ditches, liners, and pumps. Other topics include agricultural engineering, extension work, and photography. Most of the articles are his typed drafts, but some clippings of published versions are included. Some were written for conference presentations. Beyond the articles, Wood wrote several extension reports while employed in Nebraska, Federal Extension Service leaflets, and monographs. The latter continue his expertise on irrigation subjects. Wood appreciated illustrations, and a number of original drawings are found in this series, including in oversize format. Materials are grouped by type and within groups are arranged roughly chronologically. A resume and bibliography begin the series; reports, articles, leaflets, and monographs follow; then some course materials, speeches, and letters conclude it.
