Scope and Contents
This series contains field books for Nordin's many research projects for the USGS, Army Corps of Engineers, and CSU as well as his private consulting. Some books contain notes for several projects and cover a span of dates. Others are specific to a project. The books are a wealth of information, including measurements, daily notes and observations, personal thoughts, professional contacts, expenses, and even sketches and doodles. Nordin used the data collected in these field books for research projects, so material in this series relates to project files in Series 1 and photographic materials in Series 6. The series is organized alphabetically with field books titled with numerical dates appearing chronologically at the beginning.
