Nigerian trip pictures, Sept. 20, 1972, 1972
Scope and Contents
This subseries is arranged in three sections: alphabetical, chronological, and geographical. The first depicts hydrology experiments, irrigation development, dams, flood damage, and other water-related subjects. Many of these images are of water structures in Colorado or nearby states, some taken while on class field trips. Some slides show early experiments conducted at CSU's hydraulics laboratory. Others show experiments from Albertson's graduate research, which involved the use of fire to minimize fog on London airstrips during World War II. The chronological section contains slides that Albertson kept in this order. Highlights here include many local field trips, international trips, and the 1976 Big Thompson flood. The last section contains slides of places in the United States followed by those in other countries and are arranged alphabetically by state or country. Albertson's 1974 trip to China is depicted in nearly 1,000 slides.
