Scope and Contents
This series consists of six books, two VHS tapes, seven plaques and certificates, two large paintings, and one hat. Four books have been inscribed. Books are either biographies of men who shaped Colorado water policy or concern Colorado water more generally. Certificates and plaques are from government and non-government agencies. One VHS tape contains a 2006 oral history interview with MacRavey, and the other documents the speeches given by prominent figures in Colorado water during a 2006 Colorado Water Congress (CWC) retirement banquet for MacRavey. The two commemorative paintings are of Dillon Reservoir and the Colorado State Capitol and were presented to MacRavey by the CWC. The hat was given to MacRavey when the Colorado Bar Association inducted him into "The Ancient and Honorable Order of the Water Buffalo" during their ceremony in 2005. Materials are arranged into three categories and listed in alphabetical order by title within categories.
