Great Sand Dunes, undated
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains numerous aerial photographs in several different formats. The groupings listed below follow these format types, with small items in binders listed first, rolls listed second, and more standard aerial photographic prints and negatives listed last. Skinner was in the airplane taking the photos for most or all of the images on rolls. Roll 1, taken over Fort Collins in 1970, was a test run. Most of the images were taken for clients and were often used to show phreatophytes or streamside vegetation. The canisters containing these photographs on rolls of film often have additional helpful labelling on them. Main locations across the formats include the Cache la Poudre River and Fort Collins, the South Platte River, the Yellowstone River and surrounding area, the Souris River, and the Lower Mississippi River, as well as other places in Colorado and the West.
