ACF Allocation Formula -- Stakeholder Discussion Points, 2001, undated
Scope and Contents
This extensive subseries documents Sherk's work related to the tristate water-use conflict between Georgia, Alabama, and Florida concerning interstate river basins. Much of Sherk's work took place while he was a visiting professor at Georgia State University (1994-1996) and while he was a consultant for the City of LaGrange and Troup County, Georgia (1999-2003). The ACF and ACT compacts were ratified in 1997, and present here is documentation of earlier years of the dispute, as well as the eventual expiration of the compacts when no resolution was reached. Materials include legal proceedings, meeting notes, and correspondence. Files have been maintained in the order Sherk gave them, including the categories Pleadings; Buford Lanier Testimony; Articles and Studies; ESA Reports and Documents; FERC Permit Application; Compacts, Allocation Agreements, Analysis; Water Supply Studies and Reports; FOIA Request; and Statutory Requirements (Federal and State).
