Letters to family, 1969-1972 and undated

This subseries contains letters that Walker wrote to his family during his time in Germany on a Fulbright Fellowship and his service in Vietnam. A few letters have "Mother" written on the back of pages. Some postcards are included, as are two religious programs that accompany letters. The letters that Walker wrote to his parents only briefly discuss battles and negative events. Letter #66 is the most revealing of these letters as it is more detailed about his experiences. The original order, which is chronological, is maintained.
