Scope and Contents
This series includes newspaper clippings and photocopies of clippings that Owen collected during his involvement with the Great Western Sugar Company. The majority of these clippings deal with the legal and business aspects of Great Western, covering the rise and fall of the cooperative proposal as well as the legal cases of the parent company Great Western United (GWU) and GWS during this period. There is also a folder with information about GWS research and events such as the winners of the Sugar Cane Festival and the Sugar Workshop. The folders are arranged alphabetically by topic.
