Nebraska v. Wyoming documents, 1934-2001
Scope and Contents
This series contains court documents relating to the Nebraska v. Wyoming Supreme Court case. The Trust's involvement as a party of amicus curiae in the case is responsible for much of the correspondence and reports in the series. The materials include correspondence between all parties of the case along with briefs, transcripts, reports, depositions, exhibits, and memoranda. The materials were both created by and received by the Trust. The bulk is correspondence between the states of Nebraska and Wyoming, the United States, the Trust, and Basin Electric Power Cooperatives. A few of these letters note attachments which are not present. Reports in the material are primarily expert witness reports from both states. Documents labeled "confidential" or "attorney-client privilege" are closed to the public until fifty years from the date of creation; until then, they are open to clients involved or to others with written permission from the clients. The series is organized chronologically following the proceeding of the case. Computer disks were relocated to boxes 5 and 58.
