Scope and Contents

From the Sub-Series:

This subseries consists of Albertson's files related to professional organizations with which he was affiliated during his career. He was involved, if not actively serving as an officer, in organizations in the fields of engineering, education, environment, science, and water resources management. Also represented are organizations related to international education and development, the content of which overlaps somewhat with Series 3. The most voluminous of the files relate to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). Materials in this subseries include correspondence, clippings, membership cards, brochures, notes, newsletters, programs, meeting minutes, reports, financial information, and more. Files are arranged alphabetically by acronym or organization name. Related files can be found in Series 13.

Restrictions on Access

Due to the presence of student information in Subseries 1.1, some files require review before access is granted. Access to student information is open only to the student in question and to Colorado State University employees. However, access to others will be granted upon having written consent from the student or providing written proof that the student is deceased.

All "confidential" markings on correspondence or other materials have been determined to be for administrative purposes, not national security information; therefore, these materials are open for access.

One file in Series 9 is closed until 2034.
