Album of tintype portraits, c. 1880s-1900s
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains eleven photo albums compiled by various people, including Martha Bennett Carpenter, Michaela Hogarty, and the Eaton family. The photos are mostly portraits until the early 1900s and from then on are snapshots. One of the albums was created by Delph Carpenter and given "to Miss Dot Hogarty" for Christmas in 1897. Loose photos found in that album are filed behind it in sleeves. In addition to the pictures of family and friends--most of which are identified--there are also pictures of vacations and scenery. The albums are arranged in chronological order.
